Johnson was founded as a small farming and mining village at the end of the 18th century but, there is evidence of a settlement in the 1500's. How in it's center is The Railway Inn where we were given a friendly welcome and the bar person was very helpful. Recently refurbished to a good standard. The decor is light wood and carpeted with spot lighting giving a clean modern look. The walls are hung with branded barrel tops. It is a Sister pub to The Three Crowns in Haverfordwest which is decorated similarly. A traditional locals pub where sports is shown on 3 large screens. There is no food but there is a kitchen that will cater for functions. A good sized garden with a small play area. Only bottled alesa.
