Town pub. Accredited for beer quality 2023
A traditionally styled pub in the centre of the main street, converted in 2017 from a former bank. The 250 year old building conveys a sense of history and atmosphere as one area leads to another into the depths of the pub where the old bank vault door is still to be seen. In winter the open fire keeps the front lounge area warm, with comfy sofas to relax upon.
The roof terrace, with tables and sun shades, doubles as the smoking area and is accessible from a door near the WCs, up a flight of external steps.
Specialising in real ales and cider (some ciders may be real), there's an impressive array of twelve hand-pulls with beers from Black Country Ales, local, regional and national breweries, and two ciders. The current beers with the name of the brewery, beer, strength and price are displayed on screens in different parts of the pub which makes it easy to order by number at the bar. Cobs and pies are always available.
Public parking is nearby at the back of the pub and cycles are sometimes locked to racks in the car park entrance road, in view of pub CCTV.
This Pub serves 7 changing beers and 4 regular beers.
