Pretty red brick pub located 150 yards north of the main road though the village. Has a locals' public bar as well as a separate wine bar and diner. The food menu aims to provide excellent pub food, with mainly locally-sourced ingredients and all freshly-prepared.
The pub hosts many regular events, such as live music, open mic nights and quiz nights. The large garden features a Bedouin-style festival tent as well as The Lionsden kitchen - ideal for parties and events. The live music every Thursday is preceded by a variety of street food vans in the car park.
Major sporting events are shown on TVs inside and in the garden during the summer.
Traditional pub games include backgammon, chess, shove ha’penny, dominoes, cribbage, Connect Four, mah-jong in the winter. In summer there is archery, giant Jenga, Connect Four or Cornhole (fabric bean bags thrown at a raised, angled board with a hole in its far end) in the garden.
