The real ale choice is from Loddon, Loose Cannon, New Wharf, Rebellion and Windsor & Eton among others.
The Facebook page is the new one since 5 August 2023. The Instagram account is from the immediately previous tenant. The previous website "https://redlion-restaurant.co.uk" no longer works as on 23 August 2023.
Closed from 8 April 2023, its immediate future is uncertain as on 8 May 2023.

"Unfortunately I have had to make the difficult decision to close the Red Lion from today. This decision was not made lightly but we are unfortunately not in a position to continue running the business. I thank all who supported us over our the last 10 months."
Under new management from 4 July 2022, the pub welcomes drinkers in the front bar, and is popular with locals popping in for a pint. The restaurant has an eclectic modern British menu with South African influence. The pub exudes a comfortable and convivial atmosphere and is quite unpretentious.

Historic England Grade II listed, entry number 1059472. Built late 18th century to early 19th century, with 20th century bay window. The Tithe Commissioners met here in 1841.
