Detached stone built pub, nestling between the railway and canal, yet far older than both. There are four distinct rooms, each different in character. The main room is large and homely. The adjacent snug has comfortable high-backed chairs. The final two rooms are for games and TV sport. Up to six guest beers supplement the two regulars and the house beer from Robinsons. Regretfully traditional ciders are no longer on sale. Quiz night is Tuesday. Happy Hour 2-7 Monday to Friday, 2-5 Saturday and Sunday where beer is 40p off.
Reopened 17-5-2021 since COVID
