Built on the site of a Carmelite priory, with the chapel still standing in the grounds and some of the medieval carved beams incorporated into the main 16th/17th century building. A coaching inn until the arrival of the railway, which conveniently (or probably by negotiation) built the station next to it. In addition to the 18 beds in the original inn, there is also an affiliated modern hotel in the corner of the grounds. There are a variety of drinking and eating areas (along with function rooms) available.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
