Set within Exmoor this ancient village pub has many origial features dating back over 600 years including original flagstone and cobblestone floors in the main bar and a inglenook fireplace always lit during the winter. Serves a good range of four cask ales and some real ciders. A second bar has a pool table, darts board, big screen TV for events and a radiogram if you wish to play old vinyl records. There are three intimate dining areas where you can sample meals freshly cooked using seasonal local produce. A court yard outside is very pleasant on a sunny day. The pub is popular with ramblers and shooting parties. The ten ensuite guest rooms are high quality.
