The pub dates from 1772. The Luddites met here in 1812 to plan the attack on Rawfolds Mill. There is a tidy and cosy U-shaped lounge with stained glass windows and comforting log fires. Rescued from pubco abandonment in 2010, this well-loved historic pub features log fires and stained-glass windows. A room upstairs was used for secret meetings of Luddites as they planned their attacks on local mills 200 years ago. Fine views from the garden which provides plenty of seating. Popular taproom provides TV, pool (Tuesdays free) and traditional pub games.
