Once a coaching inn, this popular roadside pub has views across the Blackmore Vale. The public bar features a flagstone floor while the separate light and airy restaurant area has stripped oak floorboards. There is a patio and large garden at the rear. This friendly pub is renowned for superb home - cooked food (no meals Sunday eve) and comfortable accommodation. It always has three ales, Butcombe and two guests, usually sourced from the West Country. Dogs are welcome in the bar.A beer festival is held each July. Occasionally has Draught Bass.
