This pub has a relaxed informal atmosphere, it has a roomy lounge with an open fires, and a cosy, wood-panelled snug, also with an open fire. Situated deep in the heart of Yorkshire in the beautiful village of Kirk Smeaton. Close to Brockadale nature reserve, with the River Went running through, popular with walkers. The Shoulder of Mutton is at the heart of the local community. District Pub of the Season Summer 2016. No cooked food but sandwiches available at lunchtime.
