A friendly rural local set in the heart of the village on a road junction and the main Harwich to Colchester bus route.
The pub has a car park to the front and the door leads into the main bar area with a fire for the winter months and a television for major sporting events. A doorway from the main bar leads to two further rooms with further seating, a dartboard, and a bar billiards table, and the door into the garden area which has several picnic tables for the warmer weather.
The real ale is served from 3 hand pumps with a choice of 2 or 3 ever-changing beers, always in excellent condition.
One or both back rooms can be hired for events and with some excellent local walks and scenery the pub is a perfect refuelling point for ramblers and explorers.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Village Maid, Bradfield
