Stone-built busy local community pub and a beer house since at least 1867. It is located on the A65 adjacent to Kirkstall Leisure Centre, close to Kirkstall Abbey and 0.4 mile from Headingley railway station. Normally three cask ales are available with one of them from Timothy Taylor. Good quality traditional British pub food is served. There is a small beer garden and smoking area outside. There is partial level access from the rear entrance. Sports TV is available and there are regular quiz nights.
