This modern pub created an old-world feel, is named after Charles Wheatstone who was born in Barnwood in 1802. Wheatstone inventions included the electric telegraphy, the "Enchanted Lyre" and the famous Wheatstone Bridge. The pub is divided into many small rooms. Food is served all day and fish dishes, shown on the blackboard, are a speciality. Patio garden area. Accommodation is available in the adjacent Premier Lodge.
