Acquired by McMullen in 2007. Named after the phantom headless stallion, slain during the English civil war and which is said to haunt the adjacent road to Woolmer Green. A fine Grade-II old timbered pub, much developed, with a contemporary make-over. As well as a good range of cask beers from McMullen there's is also an extensive gin bar. The pub has a superb garden at the rear with pond, ducks, willows and an extensive grassed area with children's play equipment. Traditional roasts served all day Sunday.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (One house beer (Headless Horse) and one other seasonal from the McMullen range.) and 2 regular beers.
