Traditional family run real ale pub, reopened by Rowton Brewery in November 2021 after extensive refurbishment. Local historic pictures displayed around the pub. Features three of their own Rowton beers plus three guests, one of which will normally below 4% ABV and a dark beer. Extensive craft range available in the fridge. Live music regularly at weekends, quiet at other times. Pub has two areas plus a pool room with two log burners for the winter months. Patio area is popular in the summer.

Walking distance from Wellington town centre and historic market with good bus and railway links. A mile from the Wrekin hill itself. Walkers, families and dogs welcome. Less than half a mile from their Brewery and Tap house, the Pheasant Inn.
