Brewed by Big Penny
Brewed in collaboration with our friends, Beer Nouveau, this beer is a dive back into the old Truman's recipe books. Based on a recipe from 1916, we're gone for one of the biggest beers we could find in the gyle records - a barley wine. A huge dose of traditional English hops alongside the complex malt base give a wonderfully rich flavour to this beer. Red fruits are present, with a hint of sweetness and a warming dose of booziness. This is a beer to be savoured by a warm fireplace.
