Kibble

Rear of Crystal Palace, 11 Towngate, Thurlstone, S36 9RH (View on Google Map)

Description

Brewing began in 2021 in the former stable block of the Crystal Palace pub. The owner (an ex miner) on seeing the mash tun exclaimed it looked like a kibble (a big bucket used in pit shafts to move men and machinery) and the brewery name was born. A 2.5-barrel kit is used to produce mining-themed beers mostly named after local coal seams. The beers are rarely found outside the pub.
