Interesting town pub in a side street just off Bedale’s main street. Decorated in a ‘rustic’ style with bare stone and brick walls and wood floor, and opened out into three main drinking areas. There are usually two beers from the Jennings/Marston’s range. Very dog friendly, and the pub's own two dogs are also very amenable. No meals at present (except breakfast for bed and breakfast customers). No car park, but there is extensive free parking fifty yards away on North End and Market Place (limited to 2 hours in daytime). Bedrooms have been recently renovated. The displays of flowers and herbs are very impressive.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
