The knocked-through interior of this community-owned pub provides a number of separate areas, featuring two wood-burning stoves. A spacious separate restaurant opens on to the decked terraced beer garden. The slightly altered new name distinguishes the pub from the Green Dragon in nearby Bedale. Numerous village activities include the book club, gardening club, a weekly coffee morning and the monthly women's group (aka the Dragons). A popular beer and cider festival is held on the August bank holiday weekend. Opening times vary according to season. Sells Real Cider.
