JD Wetherspoon pub opened 20 January 2015 on the existing site of the Sawyer's Arms and an adjacent shop. The Sawyer's Arms dates back to 1861 when it was run by Elias Treharne and a further two landlords of the same name, who kept the pub in the same family for 50 years. The adjacent shop that was acquired was part of the foyer of the New Theatre, built in 1914 and the patio area was the site of the demolished auditorium. Tastefully decorated, light and airy
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
