Previously known as the Ground Floor Bar, aficionados of distilled products will find their spiritual home here, right on Portobello Road. There is everything you can think of, including a working distillery in the basement. The place appears very nicely appointed. The six-thousand square foot venue consists of four floors housing a basement visitor centre The Ginstitute, where guests can learn about the history of gin and maybe try the site's own Portobello Road Gin; tickets must be booked in advance via the venue website. The ground floor houses a pub named The Resting Room, with spirits stored in barrels above the bar, while the first floor is home to a Basque-inspired tapas restaurant GinTonica. The top floor houses a private dining room.
Over 100 gins are available and there are a few keg beers, served in half-pints only.
Opening times vary by floor. Opening hours given here are for the ground-floor pub.
