Following various incarnations this venue reopened in early 2022 under one of its previous names, Pelican. And there is indeed a stuffed pelican in a glass case above the bar.

The venue is food-orientated and has gained some very good food reviews, but it also retains a local community vibe with the upstairs room hosting a children's play area on your surveyor's visit. Food includes bar snacks as well as the main dining menu.

The pub has been described as "Essentially, a glamorous country inn in the city". Ale handpumps were removed in 2023 but may return if space can be found.

Public House Group is the umbrella company from the team behind The Pelican. Further site openings are planned.
