Attractive town-centre pub, said to be the oldest hostelry in Tamworth with a history stretching back to 1290. The main room surrounds a central island bar, with a smaller quieter room off to one side. Keen beer prices ensure that the pub is generally busy. There's a beer terrace to the rear featuring old stonework and green vines. Dogs welcome but are restricted to the terrace.
