Picturesque and popular village pub with a large pond home to ducks and moorhens. While deservedly popular for food, it remains a community drinkers' pub where real ale outsells lager. Drinkers should head to the dog-friendly bar with its open fire. The intimate split-level lounge is largely frequented by diners, with disabled access to the lower level. A large function room is available. Sunday closing is delayed if the place is busy enough.
