This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
gastropub
No 1 in the top 50 gastropubs of 2021! Michelin-starred gastropub on saltmarshes by the Thames estuary, with a seaside feel to the wood-panelled rooms and reclaimed timber tables, all of which are usually booked in advance by diners. Pride in local food extends to producing their own butter, bread and salt. Walls are hung with the work of local painters. Children must be 10 years or over.
Unfortunately, The Sportsman is clearly not a pub as there is no where that drinkers are welcome, seating is reserved exclusively for restaurant reservations, there is no seating for drinkers. There are tables outside, but the website states that "we will not be providing a bar for non-dining customers".
