This is a traditional Grade II listed 17th century village pub with a rather rambling beamed interior spread over three levels. The bar areas are decorated with photos of old local scenes and miscellaneous bric-a-brac with two wood-burner fires during the winter months. There are always four beers on handpump. A dartboard is sited on the top (bar) level. Bar snacks and a pub grub style menu are supplemented by a more substantial offering of specials; food is available daily. The Star is family, bike, dog and welly friendly. There is a covered, decked patio space and a pleasant garden and three letting rooms. The Star is a true community pub at the centre of village activities where there is always something going on – darts, various music and quizzes. Legendary roast meals available on Sundays.
