Tucked out of the way, the Boat House is accessed through an arch from Coach Street or via the canal side path from the Aagrah restaurant to Coach Street Bridge. The bar is light and airy with picture windows looking out onto the canal basin and the décor has a canal theme with two small boats for lamp shades and 'capstan' style stools. A pleasant cobbled outdoor drinking area offers the opportunity to enjoy a beer while watching the boats go by in summer and an old-style stove keeps it warm in winter. Six hand pumps offer a variety of beers from local breweries and further afield. There is normally at least one dark beer on the bar. A sixth pump has mixed use. A selection of cider and craft keg beers are also available. As at July 2022 a minimum value of £5 applied if paying by card.
This Pub serves 5 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
