"Swan Closure - 26th November
"As you are aware, I took a chance on re-opening the Swan as I felt passionately about having a pub at the heart of our community. I'm exceptionally proud of the way the team has worked to provide this (and more) but unfortunately in these tough economic times we have seen a drop off in trade which is financially unsustainable over many more weeks. The demand is just not there at this time. I would like to thank the team for their tremendous efforts over the last few weeks and the loyal customers who have tried their best to make the pub work.
I am truly sorry that I have not been able to make this work and have not been able to get through the Christmas period! A few logistical points;
I'll contact people who have bookings after November 26th to cancel these - I'm really sorry to do this. Providing customers still come in to the pub and we have the key staff in place we will carry on as we have done over the last few weeks and close on the 26th Nov. Should things change I will let you know.

16th-century former coaching inn at the heart of village life. The modernised open interior has a spacious L-shaped lounge bar with comfortable table seating and settees in front of a huge old fireplace containing a log-burning stove. There is a separate area for dining and a further separate dining room. Good-value home-cooked food is served. The pub is reputedly haunted by a friendly ghost called Mary. There is a key in a recess above the lounge fireplace which, if moved, is said to bring bad luck to those concerned. Quiz/Bingo alternate on Wednesday evenings. May stay open later than advertised if busy.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 3 regular beers.
