In the summer of 2013 a private investor secured ownership of the pub from Charles Wells to make it officially a free house, now fully refurbished, including a complete new kitchen.

Meals are served lunchtimes and evenings, also breakfast on Saturdays.

The varying beer list includes a LocAle.

The large outdoor area includes nine petanque terrains and a children's play area. Local buses pass in front of the pub.

Opens at 12pm on Wed & Thursday in Summer. Quiz on Thursday evenings.
