An interwar suburban pub with an attractive corner exterior. The interior has been modernised, and has a large plain bar on the left and a small restaurant on the right. In early 2022, the premises reopened as a pub selling Nepalese food, and renamed Gurkha Curry. In the evening, bar tables may be reserved for diners.
Historic Interest
Built by Holes Brewery of Newark in the 1930s. Later it was owned by Courage and John Smith.
