This small craft Pint & Pie pub opened in Easter 2023 as the "Taproom by Gower Brewery" a joint venture by locally based Gower Brewery and the Pieminister pie company.
There is a small L-shaped bar at the rear of the modern, attractively styled long narrow room, with a couple of stools alongside. Whilst most of the seating is at the tables in the front of the room.
On first impression, the bar appears only to serve keg & lager, this is because the two real ale hand pumps are located side on to the entrance and are not immediately visible as you enter the room. The small food menu is totally based around pies!
It was previously the Cakes & Ale Bar, which closed without warning in May 2022, due to difficult trading conditions over the past two years and rising costs.
