Friendly village pub offering an extensive and varied menu, specials board, vegan menu and up to four real ales.
There was a beerhouse listed in Lighthorne at least as far back as 1849 when it was run by Phoebe Lattimer; in 1874 William Lattimer is listed but as a victualer and maltster. It was not until 1900 that first reference to the Antelope is found run by James Henry.
The Antelope is a fine building made of the local White Lias limestone with parts of the pub dating back to the sixteenth century. It has obviously grown over the years. A fine old farmhouse probably dating from the 18th century.
