A golf club house which is open to non-members
Use of the golf facilities is open to members and visitors. The Clubhouse is open to, and indeed welcomes, all. It has a main bar with a large function room at the rear and a patio at the back. There are splendid panoramic views of the 38 acre Beedles Lake which replaced the former gravel pit. The Club also has a bookable Conference Room on the first floor. The nearest bus service (2km) is Arriva 5 to East Goscote.
Historic Interest
The club's name derives from the fact that in the 1950s the acreage was owned by a Thomas Beedle who, in the 1960s sold the land to Jelson’s Builders for sand and gravel excavation. Talk began in 1987 of the possibilities of a golf course on the site and, following much diligent planning and a great deal of effort and endurance, the course eventually opened on 1st July 1993.
