This multi-levelled, dates from 1871, four room pub has retained its quirky charm and layout. There are six real ales including 3 changing guests with a local focus. A popular live music venue with performances often on Thursday and Friday although other nights are available. The walls are always covered with pictures and other art for sale and there’s a special seat next to Maxine The Mannequin. There are complimentary crisps and snacks from late afternoon, Monday to Friday. Other events include monthly quiz or poetry evenings. There is a world music club once per month. Historic Interest
Built by the Belle Vue Brewery in 1871. Later the property of the Star Brewery it was bought by Morrell's in 1896.
