This local club is Grade 2 listed by English Heritage and dates back to the 17th century. The building's original timbers were salvaged from a ship named 'The Mermaid' and can still be seen in some parts of the club today.There is bar-side seating for the locals and an open lounge as well as a separate pool table area, and a large function room with a bar is available for bookings upstairs. The Club was refurbished in 2017. Infrequent visitors are welcome. Membership is open to everyone without nomination and current membership rates can be found on the club's website alongside upcoming events.
