After a long period of closure, this site finally reopened in early June 2022, renamed the Brompton Cross.
The pub currently offers two real ales from three handpumps. There is a short "classic pub" menu including a signature Steak Frites dish and Sunday roast lunch. As at date of this entry the venue does not appear to have a working website. Further updates welcome.
Historic Interest
A wedge-shaped building contains a narrow single bar, rebuilt in 1936 with a tiled exterior. First licensed in 1852 as a beer house, it later became part of Goring & Jenkins Lion Brewery Estate.
