Largish pleasant pub built in 1957 by Birkenhead Brewery on the site of the original Caernarvon Castle pub which was destroyed by bombing in the second world war. Located on a busy road next to St Saviour's church. The outside patio area is ideal for outside eating and drinking and is very popular as it catches the sun for most of the day. Major internal renovation in September 2017, decorated in the Golden Oak style.
Historic Interest
Opened by Birkenhead Brewery on 27 November 1957 to replace the previous pub destroyed in a bombing raid on 12 March 1941.
