Quintessential village inn with a big reputation, a community hub for the village and welcoming to visitors. Its name derives from the buildings original use as a tallow candle maker's business. The beer garden overlooks the Village Green from a high vantage point. Microbrewery beers are always on the bar, often locally sourced, including a stout or porter. Good food is available but the owners see it as primarily a drinkers' pub. Unfortunately there is no regular bus service to Shearsby.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
