The Dog & gun has traded as a free house since 2016, but was formerly a Banks’s house prior to the Marston’s take over. It is said that in earlier times, the pub was just one of four occupiers of the existing building. Viewing the front elevation from left to right, there was a butchers, the pub, a shop (Merchandise unknown) and a small cottage. Nowadays, the pub is essentially a wet trade focused village local, consisting of one L-shaped open plan room, to one end of which is a skittles table and a darts board. Out back is an enormous (half an acre) lawned garden with some picnic tables and a smokers shelter.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (Mostly from Marston's guest list) and 2 regular beers.
