UPDATE - JAN23 - Following some external work on the building (as part of planned apartments above), the pub does not seem to be open currently, but it is unclear why at this moment.

UPDATE - September 2021 - reports that real ale is not always available when visiting.

Newly refurbished (May 2021) in a sports bar style with large TV Screens, there is seating to the front and right around a bar to the left, with Pool Tables further back.

Up to 4 real ales were available on re-opening including two from Elmesthorpe Brewery.

The owners plan on building apartments above and to the rear of the pub.

Historic Interest

Set in a large old building that was once called the Famous Lion furniture store.
