Listed on its own site as a restaurant with bar and rooms, this Grade 2 Georgian building is just in England, though as soon as you cross the threshold you are in Wales. Whilst impressive to look at from the outside, dressed in huge limestone blocks, it disappoints a little internally. It’s a little faded and is a barn of a place, needing a snug or a few separate areas to break the place up. It may also at some times be considered rather noisy with its television and various gaming machines. The floor area is “L” shaped, running into the pool room, with a rustic fireplace and woodburner at one end. To the side is a small darts room, which would fit into the average bathroom. The separate room used for dining is dominated by a huge open fireplace. And Llanymynech? It's Welsh for "church of the monks"!
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
