The last pub in Nidderdale in a small hilltop village where the tarmacked road ends and becomes the Nidderdale Way footpath. A very traditional old pub, a former shooting lodge, with glorious views down the dale. Three room set up with the servery in the main room and comfortable seating and eating areas to the sides. Decorated in the traditional no nonsense fashion for Dales pubs. There are a selection of walking sticks available for purchase in the bar. A daily changing menu of home cooked food is available lunchtimes and early evenings every day (except Mondays), with local game on the menu in winter.
