Delightful historic and cosy village pub, dating from the 18th Century, which had been closed for three years, but thankfully reopened in April 2023. On the North side of Gower, it sits on a hillside next to a 13th Century church, with stunning views of the Loughor estuary from the lovely beer gardens. A characterful single room, warmed by a solid fuel stove, is unsurprisingly decorated with a few images and pictures of Dolphins and old pictures of the pub and local area. There is a children's play area at the rear of the larger grassed beer garden.
For several decades it was run by three generations of the same family, but it is now owned by the landlord of the pub/restaurant opposite (The Welcome Country Pub & Kitchen). There are plans to develop the upstairs of the pub, in October 2023, to include accommodation, but keeping the downstairs pub area.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
