Reopened as DV8 at the Black Bear.
Architectural notes: Dated from 1634. Timber frame and painted brick nogging, the ground storey bricked-in and sham painted as timber frame; 2 storeys; 2 gables with restored barge-boards. Gable over doorway has casement window with moulded wood mullions and transom, and renewed leaded lights, elsewhere windows and doorways restored in facsimile style; thatched roof; beam over entrance carved with initials NRK and above date. Later 2 storey wing, (probably 3 cottages originally), attached on left-hand side, sham painted as timber frame and with tile roof.
