Established as a row cottages in 1836, later the pub expanded further into the buildings and now includes a 60 cover restaurant, plus a further 60 seats in main bar area. It is now open plan, showcasing old beams and panelling, with a large fireplace. Traditional pub food at reasonable prices, includes a weekday senior citizen lunch menu, see website for more details. Popular for small parties, weddings, buffets and has a resident dominoes team
