Traditional 2 bar Victorian pub tucked away off the main Bitterne roads. Originally built as a house, it became a pub around 1860, then called the Coopers Arms, and owned by Coopers Brewery. It was renamed in the 1880s to the Fox & Hounds as the local hunt met outside. Both the public and lounge bars are quite small; the lounge has three steps down to a games area which has the landlady's own bar billiards table and a few more seats, and this in turn leads to quite a large garden with plenty of seating, some of it covered. The pub has an excellent community feel and supports darts & dominoes teams.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
