Wetherspoons pub on the ground floor of old Coop department store. Divided into drinking and dining areas. The pub is a fine example of early 20th century commercial architecture. Recently refurbished with the addition of 50 bedrooms upstairs. Can be busy throughout the day and especially at weekends when it is a popular starting point for the town centre circuit. Good value food is served all day.
