Claimed to date from 1485, and formerly called the Naked Boy, this ancient inn abounds with historical connections - including the Civil War, magistrates' courts, and Tom Spring the prize-fighter. A recent thorough refurbishment has been carried out to a high standard. The emphasis is very much on locally-sourced fine dining, but the main bar has a large locals' table and drinkers are welcome. In addition there are two restaurant areas, a comfortable lounge, conference room and function room. The guest beer is from local breweries, and local bottled cider is available. Open for breakfast 7.30-9.30; snacks available all day.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
