A family run country inn, situated in the quiet and rather remote Onny valley, between the Longmynd and the Stiperstones. The licensee took over in early 2011 and has created a friendly and well serviced pub. There's a restaurant, bar and patio/garden area. Bar snacks are available, and packed lunches for walkers or cyclists. The lounge area has a cosy corner with an open fireplace, settee and cushions, and there is discreet background music. The walls are decked with pictures for sale. Certainly a place that you would want to linger. Additionally, the games room is quite large and well equipped. Free wi-fi available. It is under 30 minutes from Shrewsbury and 6 miles from Bishops Castle, and ideally situated close to the Shropshire Way and the Jack Mytton Way, together with walk number 4 of the Walking with Offa series. Accommodation is available and next door is a 15 acre Camping & Caravan Park, which has won a David Bellamy Gold Conservation award a number of times.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
