The pub is beside the Shropshire Union Canal by Bridge 38, overlooking the former British Waterways boatyard. Beside the pub is the former Shrewsbury Canal, the junction of the two canals gave the pub its name. A pleasant and welcoming pub with a large, comfortable bar, plus lounge and restaurant The guest beer is usually a strong beer from the Marston's range.
Historic Interest
Thomas Jones was licensee & brewer in 1896 and 1900. The pub is listed as brewing its own beer in the Royal Commission Report on Arsenic in Beer in 1901.
